Police have identified a 23-year-old man who was killed late Friday night when his car crossed the center line on Kalanianaole Avenue in Keaukaha and struck a utility pole and a rock wall as 23-year-old Joseph Nieves Jr. of Hilo.
Police have identified a 23-year-old man who was killed late Friday night when his car crossed the center line on Kalanianaole Avenue in Keaukaha and struck a utility pole and a rock wall as 23-year-old Joseph Nieves Jr. of Hilo.
His 18-year-old male passenger was medevaced to an Oahu hospital, police said.
Police believe that both speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
