Born in Captain Cook, he was a retired mason and member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, coffee farmer; retired Konawaena High School girls’ and Parks and Recreation Kona women’s softball coach, and member of the former Fil-Am men’s softball team and St. Benedict’s Catholic Church.
