Police have arrested and charged 60-year-old Troy Ashley Young, of Keaau, with sexual assault following an incident that reportedly occurred in the late afternoon hours on Thursday at a residence on 35th Avenue in Orchidland Estates.

On Friday evening, East Hawaii Juvenile Aid Section detectives charged Young with second-degree sexual assault. His bail was set at $10,000..
The charge stems from allegations that Young sexually assaulted an elderly 88-year-old female family member who is mentally incapacitated.
Young remains in custody and is scheduled to make his initial court appearance on Monday in Hilo District Court.
