Darryl Kalani Grace Sr., 61, of Kealakekua died Sept. 30 at home. Born in Kealakekua, he was co-owner of Makanamaikalani Construction Co., a supervisor for EM Rivera and Sons Inc., Keauhou Kona Construction Co., Keauhou Kona Resort Co., heavy equipment operator for Hawaii County firebreak; worked at Mac Farms and KTA Super Stores Keauhou, member of Kahikolu Congregational Church; defensive line coach for Konawaena High School football, head coach and assistant coach for Konawaena High School girls soccer, coach for AYSO Soccer and HiPAL Prime Time basketball, and fisherman and hunter. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Old Airport Makae‘o Pavilion. Service at 11 a.m. Luncheon and entertainment to follow. Comfortable attire; flowers welcome. Survived by wife, Leona Grace of Kealakekua; sons, Darryl (Rikki) Grace Jr. and Travis (Nia) Grace of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Nell Grace of Kealakekua and Lilinoi (Steve) Grace of Kailua-Kona; hanai children, Hano-Boy Grace of Captain Cook, Deisha Grace of Opihihale, Iris Gaspar of Kealakekua, Crystal Kawaauhau-Branco of Captain Cook and Errol Kawaauhau of Utah; brothers, Hano Grace of Captain Cook, Gordon (Henrilyn) Grace of Opihihale, Bryan (Renee) Grace of Captain Cook and Ryan (Lorilei) Grace; sister, Rayleen (Rohit) Patel of Florida; sisters-in-law, Sweetie Grace of Pahala and Rena Grace of Honaunau; brothers-in-law, Mitchell (Candy) Gaspar and Earl (Diana) Gaspar of Kailua-Kona, Warren (Yvonne) Gaspar of North Carolina; six grandchildren.
