Bonsai show slated this weekend at Wailoa Center

The Mokuhonua Bonsai Kai along with Hilo Bonsai Kyoshitsu cordially invites the public to their annual bonsai exhibit Friday-Saturday at the Wailoa Center in Hilo.

Exhibition hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.

This exhibition is being dedicated to the late Morris Nakaishi, president of the Mokuhonua Kai and longtime bonsai practitioner and instructor.

There will be bonsai demonstrations by instructors at 2 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday. Demonstrations will be held on the lower level of the Wailoa Center.

The public is invited to bring their plants for a bonsai analysis by club members. Stock plants will also be available.
