A total of 831 new cases were reported statewide today by the state Department of Health.
Hawaii County has an 8.6% test positivity rate, compared to an 8.4% positivity rate statewide.
An average of 701 new cases were reported daily Aug. 18-24, and 9,952 infections have been reported in the past 14 days.
According to the DOH, a total of 506 new infections in Hilo and 400 new cases in Kailua-Kona have been reported over the past 14 days.
Another 156 have been identified in Keaau; 77 in Pahoa; 54 in Mountain View; 74 in the Captain Cook, Ocean View and Honaunau areas; 107 in Waimea; and 74 in the Waikoloa and Puako areas during the same time period.
According to data from the DOH, about 6% of Big Island cases since late May have been linked to traveling residents, while 1% of cases have been associated with non-resident travel.
Meanwhile, 71% of cases have been community associated.
Community testing is available today from noon to 4 p.m. at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kona Community Aquatic Center in Kailua-Kona.
