Ameil Kealoha Akimseu, 82, of Hilo died April 4 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Kalaoa, he was a retired truck driver for Kuwaye Trucking Co. and U.S. Air Force veteran. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday (July 24) at Dodo Mortuary chapel. Memorial services at 10 a.m. Seating limited to 25 persons; face masks and social distancing required. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife, Kathleen Walker Akimseu of Hilo; daughter, Roxanne (Roy) Madamba of California; sons, Jason Akimseu of Maui and Jared (Jessica Singer) Akimseu of Hilo; brothers, Raymond (Paulette) Akimseu of Oahu and Earl (Abilene) Akimseu of Hilo; sisters, Luwana (Satoshi) Sumiki and Cynthia (Peter Lee) Moses of Hilo and Gail (Michael) Figueroa of Pepeekeo; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
