Forrest Clay Fanning, 73, of Hilo died Aug. 15 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Nashville, Tenn., he was a seafood clerk for Malama Market, seafood manager for the former Sure Save Supermarket and U.S. Army and the Air National Guard veteran. Private services held. Survived by wife, Darling Wilson-Fanning of Hilo; sons, Wayne Fanning of Honolulu and Brian Fanning of Hilo; sister, Anita F. (Arnold) Ausenbaugh of Nashville; stepsons, Flynn (Emily) Wilson of Mountain View and Israel Wilson of Hilo; two stepgrandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
