Police investigating discovery of body in lower Puna

Police are investigating the discovery of a body in lower Puna.

The body was found on or near Highway 137 between MacKenzie State Recreation area and Pohoiki, police said.

Police closed the highway for about five hours while on scene. It has since been reopened.

No other details were immediately available.
