Earl “Pake” Amana Ah Lo Sr., 84, of Aiea, Oahu, died May 23 at Pali Momi Medical Center in Aiea. Born in Hilo, he was retired from the Navy Public Works Center Transportation Department. Oahu visitation 9:30-10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 7, at Mililani Memorial Park &Mortuary Mauka Chapel in Waipio, Oahu. Service at 10:30 a.m. Hilo visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Service at 9:30 a.m. Burial noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Survived by sons, Earl (Lani Girl) Ah Lo Jr. and Lyle (Keith) Ah Lo; daughters, Roxanne (Larry Batten) Ah Lo-Batten, Marlene Kamakawiwo‘ole and Fransonna “Puni” (Monte) Keb-Ah Lo; brothers, Kenneth (Marlene) Ah Lo and Melvin (Joyce) Ah Lo; sister, Ethel Ah Lo; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
