Peter Alpiche, 84, of Honokaa died April 23 at home. Born in Halaula, he was a retired harvesting supervisor for the former Hamakua Sugar Co., U.S. Army veteran of the 187th Airborne Rakkasans, member Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Honokaa Senior Citizens, ILWU Pension Club, Hawaii County Band, The Alfred Dance Band, The Crescendos and the D&J Sound and Dance. Visitation 3-5 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Military honors at 4 p.m. Memorial Mass at 5 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife, Frances L. Alpiche of Honokaa; sons, Dexter (Loke) Alpiche of Paauilo and Bradley (Lynne) Alpiche of Kona; daughter, Donna-Ann (Frank) Jenkins of Waimea; brothers, Lawrence Villasista of Honolulu and Richard (Susan) Villasista of Honokaa; sisters, Carmen Alpiche of Hilo, Miriam Bott-Sharf of Illinois, Shirley Villafuerte of Laupahoehoe and Vernice Gomes of Honolulu; sisters-in-law, Patsy Villasista of Honomu, Lillian Alpiche of Pearl City, Oahu, and Yoneko Villasista of Oceanside, Calif.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
