Ann T.K. Aki, 90, of Hilo died April 2 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Japan, she was a homemaker, member of Kamana Senior Center patchwork quilting and ukulele classes and former member of Lower Kawailani Kumiai. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 9, at Ballard Family Mortuary. Service at 10:30 a.m. Burial noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Association, Aloha Chapter. Survived by sons, Henri (Maxine) Aki Jr. of Hilo and David (Tara) Aki of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; daughter, Cynthia (Melvin) Chow of Honolulu; brothers-in-law, Wallace (Shirley) Aki of Hilo and William (Betty) Aki of Florida; sisters, Michie Morishige and Hiroko Mitsuhiro of Japan; sisters-in-law, Amie Yap of Colorado, Jennie Aki of Hilo, Lily Chow of Hilo and Rose Miyashiro of Honolulu; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
