Stanley Cosare Sr., 66, of Paauilo died March 25 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honokaa, he was a truck driver for the state and county, taro farmer in Waipio Valley and member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Visitation 6-7 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 7 p.m. Casual attire. Cremation to follow. Survived by wife, Norma Jane Cosare of Paauilo; daughters, Challis (Tony) Santos of Honolulu and Bridget (George) Palacio of Hilo; sons, Stanley (Brooke Akina) Cosare Jr. of Kapulena and Stanson (Stacey) Joaquin-Cosare of Hilo; brothers, Lucio (Jeanne) Cosare Jr., Henry (Sherron) Cosare, Robert (Tammy) Cosare and Wallace (Selina) Cosare of California, Joseph (Adela) Cosare of Washington and Darrel (Ng) Cosare of Maui; sisters, Violet Mateo, Elizabeth (David) Cosare-Nakata and Sally Nachor of Hilo, Mary (Alvin) Chun of Oahu and Julie (Joseph) Lauro of Pepeekeo; seven grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
