Clarise Evelyn Valensona Amar, 82, of Keaau died Feb. 23 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo and raised in Keaukaha, she was a homemaker, macadamia nut picker, Keaau Middle School custodian and member of Holy Rosary Mission Church in Keaau. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Friday (March 22) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Prayer service at 7 p.m. Casual attire; flowers and lei welcome. Graveside service 11 a.m. Saturday (March 23) at Alae Cemetery (new section). Survived by husband, Thomas Amar Sr. of Keaau; daughters, Francine A. (Kenneth “Bear”) Pasco of Hawaiian Paradise Park, Fraline E. (Lawrence “Larry”) Valenzuela of Hilo and Laurie A. (Philip) Espiritu of Keaau; sons, Thomas “Tongo” Amar Jr. of Keaau and Davin “Rico” S. (Ceraida “Lei”) Amar of Hawaiian Paradise Park; hanai daughter, Theresa H. Valensona of Mountain View; sister, Lily F.
