On behalf of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation Inc., the Rotary Club of South Hilo presented a $10,000 check to Hospice of Hilo for hospice programs and services for low-income older adults.
On behalf of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation Inc., the Rotary Club of South Hilo presented a $10,000 check to Hospice of Hilo for hospice programs and services for low-income older adults.
“The Rotary Club of South Hilo feels honored to have partnered with the Weinberg Friends Program, allowing our club to designate a charity to receive Weinberg support,” said Rotarian Doug Adams. “Caring for our community through good works is what Rotary is all about. Our club members are so grateful to be able to be part of helping ensure our kupuna and their families are taken care of in their time of need.”
The Rotary Club of South Hilo focused on keiki in September. South Hilo Rotarians assisted with more than 60 visions screenings for third-graders at E.B. de Silva and St. Joseph Elementary schools.
Rotarians also partnered with Big Island Wellness Solutions to distribute more than 2,200 “Healthy Me” booklets to East Hawaii fourth-graders.
