Harry “Chubby” Kaleohano Borges, 87, of Hilo died July 27. Born in Hawaii, he was a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Union Local 3, founder and state president of Hauoli Hoaloha Motorcycle Club and a pastor for House of Angels Ministries Outreach for Homeless and Elderly who fed the homeless and elderly weekly for five years. Celebration of life 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at Panaewa Haili Tent in Hilo. Survived by wife, Kuuipo Machado Borges of Hilo; sons, Harry “Guy” Borges Jr. of Honolulu, Eric (Stephanie) Borges, Lance (Luana) Borges and Bobby (Sharane) Gomes of Maui; daughters, Natasha (Kaleo) Borges-Apao of Honolulu, Michele (Dayna) Bellevou Ohelo of Oahu and Elizabeth (Eric) Bellevou Maniquis of California; brother, Joseph Marques Jr. of Honolulu; sisters, Joann Marques and Karen Marques O’Rouke of Honolulu; 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
