Kealakehe boys golf wrapped up the Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) boys golf title on Wednesday at Mauna Lani North Course, shooting a collective +27 to seal the deal.

The winning Waveriders were led by Noah Okazaki, who tied Hawaii Prep’s Parker Smithson for first in the boys individual competition with a 75 (+3). Teammate Malakai Akeo placed sixth with a 77, while Ulukoa Kailiwai shot a 79 to place seventh — rounding out the Kealakehe boys that placed in the top 10.
Waiakea superstar Jake Otani, his teammate Noah Miyazono and Hilo’s Iakona Manuia tied in third after each shooting a 76.
Kamehameha Hawaii’s Kaha‘i Helm posted a +8, finishing eighth and making the top 10 once again. Waiakea’s Skyler Miyashiro placed ninth with an 82, while HPA’s Matty Inaba and Kohala’s Paxton Carvalho each shot an 83 to tie for 10th.
While the Waiakea girls team won its BIIF title last week, the Lady Warriors were once again victorious after winning by seven strokes over HPA — shooting a collective +43. Waiakea star Jordyn Kawachi led the winners once again, posting a 79. Teammate Madelyn Awaya was the other Lady Warrior who placed in the top 10, logging an 82 to tie with HPA’s Khloe Nakagawa for third overall.
Hilo’s Nalei Ramos had another top-five finish, logging an 81 to place second in the field. Her teammate, Lauren Kozohara, placed sixth with a +12.
Kealakehe’s Kaylee Palikiko placed fifth with an 83, adding to her strong season. HPA’s Ella Forrest shot an 88 to place seventh, while KSH teammates Adriana Volpe and Zaynie-Lee Chow tied in eighth after shooting 92. KSH’s Addison Arbles rounded out the remainder of the top 10 after logging a 93.
