Manuel Dugay Afaga, 79, of Waikoloa died Feb. 23 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a golf attendant at Mauna Kea Beach Resort, former co-owner of Waikoloa Taxi and member of St. Michael’s the Archangel Catholic Church and International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local No. 142. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial noon at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Casual attire; flowers welcome at cemetery only. Survived by wife, Juliana; daughters, Elena, Victoria (Sean), Annabelle (Peter), Lilian (John) and Marilyn (Alex); siblings, Marino (Pacita), Miguel (Dolores), Domy (Cathy), Maria Warlita (Roman), Rodola (Pedro), Sebastian (Eufracia) and Susana (Sunil); 10 grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Dallas Blair Jackson, 92, of Hilo died Feb. 8 at home. Born in Norfolk, Neb. he was a retired Hawaiian Volcano Observatory geophysicist and U.S. Army veteran. Private services. Carol Aiko Napeahi, 82, of Hilo died Jan. 28 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Honolulu and raised in Waianae, Oahu, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going exercising, gardening, cooking, going cruising down the beach and keeping busy. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, March 14, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual or aloha attire.
