Manuel Dugay Afaga, 79, of Waikoloa died Feb. 23 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a golf attendant at Mauna Kea Beach Resort, former co-owner of Waikoloa Taxi and member of St. Michael’s the Archangel Catholic Church and International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local No. 142. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial noon at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Casual attire; flowers welcome at cemetery only. Survived by wife, Juliana; daughters, Elena, Victoria (Sean), Annabelle (Peter), Lilian (John) and Marilyn (Alex); siblings, Marino (Pacita), Miguel (Dolores), Domy (Cathy), Maria Warlita (Roman), Rodola (Pedro), Sebastian (Eufracia) and Susana (Sunil); 10 grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
