St. Joseph School students on Tuesday learned how ancient Hawaiians navigated using the night sky.
Several dozen elementary students from the Hilo school discovered Hawaii’s deep history of exploration by visiting the ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center. The field trip helps enhance the school’s cultural studies program.
The field trip coincided with the celebration of National School Choice Week, held Jan. 22-28, which features tens of thousands of school choice celebrations across all 50 states.
