Waikoloa Public Library a go: BLNR signs off on request to lease county land at no cost

On Friday, the Board of Land and Natural Resources approved the Hawaii State Public Library System to enter into an agreement to lease for free from Hawaii County some 2 acres within the Kamakoa Workforce Housing Project for the long-awaited Waikoloa Public Library. The library would be situated on the makai (western) edge Kamakoa Nui Park, near the current terminus of Kamakoa Drive, as seen in this photo. (Chelsea Jensen/West Hawaii Today)
