Ige releases $8.22 million for Kona airport

Gov. David Ige released $8.22 million in capital improvement project funds to finance the design and construction of a new Federal Inspection Services Building at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole.

“I’m thrilled that Gov. Ige is following through on funding projects for the Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport,” said Sen. Lorraine R. Inouye, whose district includes the airport. “Financing the design and construction for a new Federal Inspection Services Building at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport is necessary with the expected increase in international visitor arrivals.”
