Laubach petitions to be retained on bench

The state Judicial Selection Commission announces that Hilo District Family Judge M. Kanani Laubach has petitioned to be retained in office and to be renewed for an additional term. Her current term expires on Aug. 9.

The Commission invites interested persons to submit written comments or fill out an evaluation form on whether Judge Laubach should be retained in office for a new six-year term.

All written comments and evaluation forms will be kept confidential.
