Police: All lanes of Highway 11 are now open
UPDATE: Police say all lanes of traffic are now open on Highway 11 between Meaulu Street and Olaa Road.
PREVIOUSLY:
Highway 11 is closed just south of Keaau after a traffic accident.
The Hawaii Police Department reports that both lanes of traffic on Highway 11 will be closed for several hours near the 9 mile marker by Kurtistown. Drivers are advised to avoid the area as officers work on the roadway.
A detour is available via Stainback Highway and North Kulani Road.
