Police respond to threats at Waiakea High School

Police responded to threats received at Waiakea High School on Wednesday and today.

At 9:49 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to anonymous telephone threats received against one of the school’s faculty. Police initiated a terroristic threatening case upon behalf of the faculty member.

Officers also maintained a presence at the school while it was in session today.

After students were dismissed from school today, officers responded again at 3:05 p.m. to a report of anonymous threats made against the school. A systematic search found no unauthorized persons or weapons/devices.

Police say officers will will be on campus Friday.
