Highway 11 closed at Hakalau after accident

Highway 11 is closed north of Hakalau after a car accident.

According to Hawaii County Civil Defense, both lanes of Highway 11 are closed after a vehicle accident near the 16 mile marker north of Hakalau.

Further details about the crash are unavailable at this time.

There are no detours. Drivers are advised to stay out of the area.
