Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea recently named Caroline Makio, a physician practice assistant in the QNHCH Women’s Center, as Employee of the Quarter.
Caroline has worked at QNHCH for more than 16 years and was honored for her compassion and resourcefulness, as well as her caring attitude and initiative.
“Caroline Makio not only practices the Queen’s values every day, she is willing to help where ever she is needed. She is a great team player and always willing to help her teammates,” said QNHCH President Cindy Kamikawa.
Also honored were nominees Mae Freitas-Takaki, Surgical Services; Rachel Gillis, Physical Therapy; Sheena Nakata, Medical-Surgical Unit; Lottie Neubert, Medical-Surgical Unit; Louise Ragasa, Infection Control; and Sharnell Sumic, Occupational Therapy.
