Patrick Michael Elisaga, 57, of Papaaloa died Feb. 15 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honokaa, he was a steward at Hilton Waikoloa Village. Memorial services and celebration of life at a later date. Thomas Jerome Engel, 81, of Kailua-Kona died March 19 in Kealakekua. Born in Los Angeles, he owned Engel Insulation & Firmfill Inc. Celebration of life in California at a later date. Florencio Balboa Guerpo, 83, of Honokaa died March 18 at Kohala Hospital. Born in Cagayan, Philippines, he was a welder for the former Hamakua Sugar Co., retired from the Mauna Lani Hotel, retired U.S. Army sergeant and member of the Honokaa Seventh-day Adventist Church. Memorial services and celebration of life at a later date. Survived by sons, John (Rowena) Guerpo and Ken Ramil Guerpo of Honokaa; sister, Consolacion (Nemesio) Sanchez of Honokaa; brothers-in-law, Augusto (Violy) Ramil of Loma Linda, Calif., and Domingo (Mercy) Ramil of Seattle; sisters-in-law, Sabina (Ben) Palermo of Waimea, Anita (Frank) Soares of Kapaa, North Kohala, and Mimi (Rowell) Villarin of Waimea; nieces, nephews and cousins. Markus Herzog, 76, of Hilo died March 21 at home. Born in Aarau, Switzerland, he was a civil engineer and land developer. Visitation 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Sueko Sumida Kaneshiro, 95, of Hilo died March 25 at a private care home. Born in Pahala, she was a retired salesclerk for the former JCPenney. Private services at a later date. Alan Tokuo “Bobo” Walker, 64, of Hilo died March 7 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired Department Of Education substitute teacher, archaeologist for PHR Inc., member of Shogatsu Club and Special Olympics and attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Celebration of life at a later date.
