Hawaii Island police arrested and charged a 24-year-old woman who was the subject of a media bulletin after escaping from their custody on a petty misdemeanor theft charge.
Kelia Armstrong was arrested early Friday afternoon at a Leilani Estates home and charged with second-degree escape and fourth-degree theft. She’d been sought by police since escaping their custody after an arrest Feb. 15.
