Construction begins on homes in Laʻi ʻOpua

TOM LINDER/West Hawaii Today Construction equipment sits in the lots of Laʻi ʻOpua Village 4–Akau in Kailua-Kona. The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands broke ground on the project Nov. 24, with plans for the first units to be offered to beneficiaries in mid-2021.

Vertical construction has started for 60 homes within the Villages of La‘i ‘Opua in Kailua-Kona.
