The American Heart Association’s popular annual free worksite wellness workshop will be offered digitally from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Nov. 3.
Today, 1 in 3 people report being worried and 53% of U.S. adults say COVID-19 has negatively impacted their mental well-being because of worry and stress. This workshop will address those issues and help employers build a culture of wellness in their organizations.
The workshop includes two breakout sessions. One will feature a panel discussion covering topics including building health equity in the workplace, mental health and well-being The second will focus on “Question-Storming: The Art of Asking Better Questions” (engaging employee’s feedback in building an effective workplace wellness program).
American Heart Association Executive Vice President, Health Equity and Chief Diversity Officer Gerald E. Johnson, II will join a keynote discussion about how employers can improve health in their work environments, focused on the whole employee. Poor mental well-being is a critical problem that, if neglected, can lead to serious health complications such as heart disease.
The association is pleased to be able to expand this year to a statewide digital event.
