Three new Oahu COVID-19 cases brings statewide total to 647

The state Department of Health reports three new COVID-19 cases in Hawaii today, all in the City and County of Honolulu.

That brings the statewide case count to 647, with the City and County of Honolulu remains the site of the highest number of cases, with 417 reported so far.


Hawaii County’s total remains 82 cases. Of those, 81 have been released from isolation, according to DOH. One required hospitalization.

The total for Maui County remains the same at 117. Kauai County’s total remains at 20.

Hawaii’s statewide case total includes 10 residents diagnosed outside the state.

The statewide death toll from coronavirus-related illness remains at 17, with 11 on Oahu and six on Maui. That’s a 2.7% fatality rate for the state.


The number of statewide cases requiring hospitalization is 83.

There have been 604 cases statewide that have been released from isolation, according to DOH.
