Community health centers throughout Hawaii will receive more than $10 million in additional funding to respond to, prevent, diagnose and treat COVID-19, announced U.S. Sen. Mazie Hirono, a Hawaii Democrat, on Tuesday.
The funds are available as part of the CARES Act, the third coronavirus relief package recently passed by Congress. Community health centers in Hawaii also received about $1 million in funding in the first coronavirus relief package.
On the Big Island, Bay Clinic will receive $876,290, the West Hawaii Community Health Center will receive $783,110 and Hamakua-Kohala Health will receive $596,360.
