The state Department of Health reports a total of 435 COVID-19 coronavirus cases statewide as of noon today, an increase of 25 cases since Tuesday, while the death toll associated with the virus remains at five.

Of those cases, 328 are in the City and County of Honolulu. Of those cases, 36 have required hospitalization with four deaths, and 83 have been released from isolation.
Maui County reported 54 cases, the second-highest total in the state. Of those, five of those required hospitalization with one death, and 14 have been released from isolation.
The DOH reports 26 cases in Hawaii County, three of them new. Of those, none of required hospitalization and nine have been released from isolation.
The DOH numbers and those reported daily by Hawaii County Civil Defense differ somewhat, with the county reporting 27 cases and “21 cleared by the Department of Health,” Mayor Harry Kim said in a morning radio message. Officials have explained the difference as a “reporting lag.”
“The remaining six are quarantined at home and being monitored by the Department of Health,” the mayor said.
And Kauai County reports 18 cases, the same as Tuesday. One has required hospitalization and seven have been released from isolation, according to DOH.
