Larry Dean Boot, 79, of Kailua-Kona died March 7 at home. Born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, he was a retired business owner of Economy Motors and Courtesy Jewelers in Hilo, Eelskin Outlet, Eelskin Liquidators, Kona Discount Mart, Tropical Tees and Big Island Cycle Center in Kona, member of Kona Elks Lodge No. 2616 and Foresters Court Mauna Kea No. 8854, Mason and Shriner of Kona Lodge F & A M Hawaii and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Service information to be announced at a later date. No flowers. Memorial donations to Hospice of Kona, P.O. Box 4130, Kailua-Kona, HI 96745. Survived by wife, Muriel Boot of Kailua-Kona; sons, Shawn (Jody) Boudreau of Kailua-Kona and Damian Baring of Hilo; brother, Donald (Jadene) Boot of Florida; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
