Historic 1800s sign at Haili Church restored

Courtesy photo The congregations of Haili Church, Kuhio Chapel and Ohana Hour gathered for a formal dedication of the restored historic gilded gold leaf sign, "Ua L'aa No Iehova" (Dedicated to God), with a Hawaiian oli by Kumu Moses Crabbe and an anointing during the church’s end-of-the-year Unity Service.

Ahistoric gilded gold leaf sign, “Ua La‘a No Iehova” (Dedicated to God), was recently uncovered and reclaimed after it was hidden from view for 90 years on the back wall of Haili Church in downtown Hilo.
