Anthony “Duke” Aguinaldo, 70, of Hilo died Dec. 27 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired school bus driver for Honomu Bus Service and Bragado Bus Service and member of Honomu Good Shephard Mission Catholic Church. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Friday (Jan. 17) at Honomu Good Shepherd Mission Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire. Private Urn Committal at a later date. Edgar Quimoyog Aurelio, 56, of Pahala died Dec. 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Banna Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a heavy equipment operator for a macadamia nut company. Wilfred Park, 89, of Hilo died Jan. 9 at home. Born in Pahala, he was a retired maintenance worker for Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, retired U.S. Army master sergeant and member of Korean War Veterans Association Big Island Chapter 231 and Old Soldiers of Hawaii. Visitation 9-9:30 a.m. Friday (Jan. 17) at Ballard Family Mortuary, Service at 9:30 a.m. Burial noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Darryl John Perreira, 68, of Hilo died Jan. 6 at home. He was a retired county Parks and Recreation worker and member of Holy Ghost Church in Honolulu. Private services held. Wade Reeves, 79, of Waikoloa died Dec. 13 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was retired from the Hawaii Army National Guard and a 1959 St. Louis High School alum. Itsuo Sakai, 93, of Hilo died Dec. 10 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired freight clerk for Young Brothers, bowler and U.S. Army veteran during World War II. Private services held. Survived by wife, Karen Sakai of Hilo; sons, Lawrence (David) Sakai of California, Karl (Novelie) Sakai of Pearl City, Oahu, and Dayne Sakai of Hilo; daughter, Melanie (David) Shiraishi of Aiea, Oahu; brother-in-law, Stan (Faith) Kubo of Hilo; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
