Big Isle briefs: Panaewa Pop Warner Halloween benefit

  • Panaewa's 14-and-under Pop Warner football team will hold a Halloween Haunted Pathway fundraiser Thursday.

The Panaewa 14-year-old Pop Warner football team will hold a Halloween Haunted Pathway fundraiser from 6-10 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Kahaopea Street.

The Haunted Pathway costs $7, keiki-land concessions cost $5 and there will be thriller performances at 7 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

All proceeds benefit the football team’s trip to Florida in December to play at the Pop Warner Super Bowl.

The team is coached by Sergio Mamone Jr.

Hilo Little League meeting

Hilo Little League will hold its annual membership and board meeting from 10-11:30 a.m. Nov. 9 at the UHH athletic center, room No. 118.
