It’s not that the Kamehameha sophomore pulled off a shocker at the BIIF air riflery championships – it’s just that Iwamoto hadn’t shot this well in weeks.

She needed a victory Saturday to help represent the Warriors at the HHSAA tournament, and that’s exactly what Iwamoto accomplished, pocketing a gold medal with a score that also surpassed anyone in the boys field.
