Elemelec “Eley” “Melec” Erorita Aguinaldo, 80, of Papaikou died June 26 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired vegetable farmer and member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. July 12 (Friday) at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Maura Aguinaldo of Papaikou; sons, Jerry (Belen) Aguinaldo and Nixon (Imelda) Aguinaldo of Waipahu, Oahu, Emilio (Milagros) Aguinaldo and Joy (Lewelyn) Aguinaldo of Papaikou, Zaldy (Grace) Aguinaldo of Virginia; daughters, Marilou (Ben) De Vera of Ewa Beach, Oahu, Elenita (Noel) Julian of Pepeekeo and Maydanell (Charles) Lim of Missouri; sister, Noemi (Fidel) Cadavona of Kalihi, Oahu; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
