Public can weigh in on concept of road usage fees

It will be Hilo’s turn Thursday to weigh in on road usage fees.

The state Department of Transportation is exploring use of fees, which would apply to miles driven, instead of relying on fuel taxes to fund public roads.

The Hilo community meeting will is scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the AJA Veterans Hall, 361 Haihai St.
