BIIF golf: Uchida, Waiakea wahine flood top of leaderboard

  • HOLLYN JOHNSON/Tribune-Herald K Kamehameha's Pono Yanagi watched Hilo High School's Riley Kaneshiro win the season-opening BIIF golf tournament, but since then Yanagi has grabbed medalist honors twice. He shot 70 on Monday at Hokulia.

The Waiakea girls golf depth overwhelmed the competition at the latest meet at Hokulia.

Four Warriors finished in the top four, but only three scores were needed for Waiakea to claim its third straight BIIF team meet on Monday at the Jack Nicklaus-designed course.
