Chef Ippy Aiona, who attended Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in San Francisco and participated in the nationally televised Food Network Star reality show, was the featured chef for the 2018 Mardi Gras Casino Night at Hilo’s Grand Naniloa Hotel. The event featured a six-course menu created by Chef Ippy; proceeds from the sold-out event benefited the Hilo Bay Clinic’s tele-medicine program. (Robin Aiona/Special to West Hawaii Today)
