Wainaku Street to be closed Wednesday to replace utility pole

Hawaii Electric Light Co. said Wainaku Street in Hilo between Halaulani Place and Pua Lane will be closed to traffic between 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, to allow crews to replace a utility pole.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution around the construction area and use alternate routes.

During this period, Wainaku Street will be open to local traffic only.
