Police say an autopsy determined a man whose body was discovered off Saddle Road (Daniel K. Inouye Highway) near Maunakea Access Road on Feb. 14 died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The man, identified as 82-year-old Richard Rogers of Kailua-Kona, was found lying unresponsive near a white hatchback.
A firearm was recovered from the scene by detectives.
