Wailoa Center’s January exhibit of the Hawaii Photography Show came to its conclusion Jan. 24, with more than 1,000 visitors seeing the exhibit and voting for their favorite photograph.
Jay Takaaze’s “Hilo Mystique” was the People’s Choice pick, with his moonlit shot of Hilo taken from a footbridge over the canal near the soccer fields. Takaaze said he was driving around town that evening when this composition caught his eye.
Wailoa Center congratulates and thanks Takaaze for sharing his artistry, and congratulates all the participants in the 2019 Hawaii Photography Show.
Wailoa Center is free and opened to the public from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
