Sonja Shigemi Allen, 71, of Hakalau died Nov. 23 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Honolulu, she was retired. No services. Survived by husband, Bruce Allen of Hakalau; daughter, Brandy Allen of Hilo; sons, Brandon (Alyssa Fukuchi) Allen of Oahu, Blake (Ronnie) Allen of Hilo and Blesson (Asia Olsen) Allen of Mountain View; brother, George (Diane) Imose of Honolulu; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild; nieces and nephews. Jacinto “Joe” Ignacio Jr., 60, of Waimea died Nov. 14 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Honokaa, he was a machine operator for Kamuela Vacuum Cooling and driver for Kamuela Trucking Co. Visitation 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 1) at St. James Episcopal Church in Waimea. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Survived by companion, Sarah Batalona of Waimea; son, Keanu Kanuha of Waimea; mother, Lorraine Kaono of Waimea; sisters, Susan (Keoki) Corotan of Kohala, Lani Kealoha of Oahu and Angie Smith of Kailua-Kona; brothers, Reggie (Kim) Ignacio, Alton (Melony) Kaono and Elliott (Vicky) Kaono, of Waimea; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Glenn Evan Miller, 41, of Mountain View died Nov. 1 at Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Portland, Ore. He is survived by life partner, William Pettis of Hilo; mother, Nan Miller of Mountain View; brothers, Shawn Miller and Patrick Miller of Portland, Jason Miller of Arcata, Calif.; sister, Rika Miller of Portland; uncles, aunts, cousins and a nephew. Harry Yukio Morita, 95, of Waimea died Nov. 2 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was owner of H Morita Farm, a U.S. Army veteran and member of Kamuela Hongwanji Kyodan, Kamuela Civic Club and various farmers’ organizations. Private services held.
