In October, 18 people were chosen to be honored at the 2018 Awards &Scholarship Gala.
Among them was Divina Padasdao, full charge bookkeeper at Hawaii Care Choices in Hilo.
HAH award criteria describes the Distinguished Service category as acknowledging a non-clinician (support/back office) position who is seen to significantly improve the operations of her or his company or agency through efficiency, problem-solving, innovation, productivity, exemplary “team spirit” and customer service.
“Divina always goes the extra mile and is hyper-aware of deadlines that will affect staff, always working diligently to meet their needs,” said Shirley Dellinger, Director of Operations for Hawaii Care Choices.
“When a task or project is delegated to Divina, I am always confident it will get done on time and with quality. What I am especially grateful for is her steadfastness — always with a smile and a positive attitude.”
Padasdao said the nomination and the recognition humbled her.
“I believe that doing your best, with a ‘gotta do what needs to be done’ attitude is what makes my work so rewarding as I stand alongside my compassionate and hardworking Hawaii Care Choices colleagues.”
