Operation Christmas Child accepting boxes Nov. 12-19

Make a lasting difference in a child’s life by packing a shoe box for Operation Christmas Child. This program delivers shoe boxes filled with school supplies, personal hygiene items, toys, clothes and are delivered to children living in war, disease, famine and poverty.

Last year the state of Hawaii contributed over 46,000 boxes.

Filled shoe boxes will be accepted Nov. 12-19 at the following locations:

• Hilo Missionary Church, 1044 Komohana St., Hilo.

• Puna Covenant Church, 16-647 Old Volcano Road, Keaau.


• First Assembly of God, Hamakua, 28-1104 Old Mamalahoa Hwy, Pepeekeo.

• Big Island Toyota, 811 Kanoelehua Ave, Hilo.
