Eulogio “Jun” Pangelinan Sablan, 61, of Mountain View died May 23 in Hilo. Born in Saipan, Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, he was an automotive technician. Martha Betsy Chang, 88, of Halaula died April 16 at home. Born in Waimea, she was a librarian at Kohala Library, telephone operator for the former Hawaiian Telephone Co., member of Kohala Senior Citizens Group and Landmark Baptist Church. Celebration of life 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at Landmark Baptist Church, 54-3666 Akoni Pule Highway in Kapaau. Casual attire; no flowers. Bernadette Pualani “Lani” Chase, 82, of Keaau died May 25 at home. Born in Hana, Maui, she was a homemaker and member of Red Hat Society of Hilo. David Kawika Pa‘a‘aina, 68, of Kapoho died June 1 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired U.S. Navy Seal senior chief petty officer and Vietnam War combat veteran.
