The public is invited to a Hawaii Farmers Market &Agritourism Vendors Informational Session from noon-3 p.m. Wednesday in Kona or from 1-4 p.m. Friday, May 2, in Hilo.

The public is invited to a Hawaii Farmers Market &Agritourism Vendors Informational Session from noon-3 p.m. Wednesday in Kona or from 1-4 p.m. Friday, May 2, in Hilo.

It will be a session of networking and education about the most current topics on being a farmers market and agritourism vendor.

Participants can learn best food handling and business practices for selling at markets, and will leave the session with practical tips, recommendations and resources for increasing sales and keeping food safe. The cost to attend is $20

The Kona session is slated at the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) Extension Office in Kainaliu, at 79-7381 Mamalahoa Highway in Kainaliu. The Hilo meeting will be at the University of Hawaii at Hilo at 200 W. Kawili St. in UCB Room 115.
